SekelaXabiso (SkX) has been cited in a number of negative media reports as a result of its contractual relationship with the SABC. As a professional services firm, SkX prides itself in following and adhering to ethical business processes when engaging with our various clients in the public and private sectors. We have noted with regret some factual inaccuracies in the media reports pertaining to what our exact mandate was and a failure to appreciate how we had supported the SABC in various engagements beyond the irregular expenditure concerns that have been the subject of intense focus at SCOPA. It is regrettable that we have inadvertently been embroiled in matters of internal SABC procurement processes over which we have absolutely no control. Without conceding to certain negative aspersions that have been cast on SkX, we wish to acknowledge and support SCOPA in the fulfilment of its mandate to ensure accountability and good governance for public funds.
We consistently and diligently uphold our commitment to add value through enhancing governance, risk management and financial controls of organizations we work with. In line with our commitment we ensured that throughout each of our contracted periods, SABC derived value and at each stage SABC has accepted the outcomes of our work.
We therefore reject the insinuations made that seek to associate our engagement by the SABC with criminality. We pledge, if required, to cooperate with whatever processes that might be reviewing our and other service provider engagements as we have nothing to hide. We remain committed to adding value to a whole host of our clients in our quest to support clean governance.
